European roulette consists of a grid and a roulette wheel with 37 numbers, the numbers of which vary from 1 to 36 and to which must be added the 0. European roulette, with a single zero, has more chance of winning than American roulette, with two zeros. The numbers on the wheel alternate between even numbers and odd numbers also varying between the color black and the color red. The zero is green in color and is placed at the opposite end of the roulette wheel.
The object of the game is to guess on which number of the wheel the ball will stop.
You must first place your wagers by placing your chips on the printed numbers of the table. The arrangement of the numbers on the table is made such that the 36 numbers are placed in 3 separate columns of 12 numbers each. The numbers are printed in ascending order and are, depending on their number, either red or black. When you have made all the bets you want, the croupier activates the roulette wheel by turning it and throwing the ball in the opposite direction of the latter. Once the ball has stopped in one of the boxes of the roulette wheel, the croupier announces the winning number.
There are several types of stakes possible in European roulette:
Full (single number):
The bet is placed on a single number.
On horseback (two numbers):
The bet is placed on “horse” between two numbers side by side.
Full cross (three numbers):
The bet is placed on the first large vertical line (the one on the side of the roulette wheel) in order to designate a horizontal column (made up of 3 numbers).
Triple (three numbers):
The bet is placed at the intersection of three numbers next to each other. The only possible “Triples” are: 0, 1, 2 and 2, 3, 0.
Square (four numbers):
The bet is placed at the intersection of four numbers.
Top line (first four numbers: 0, 1, 2, 3):
The bet is placed at the intersection of the first vertical line and the horizontal line separating the 0 from 1, 2, 3.
In sizain (six numbers in two transverse columns):
The bet is placed at the intersection between the first vertical line and the horizontal line separating two horizontal columns of three numbers (eg 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15).
Columns (1st, 2nd or 3rd column):
The stake is placed at the bottom of the column according to the chosen column and outside the grid. This bet does not take zero into account.
Dozens (1st, 2nd or 3rd dozen):
The bet is placed at the bottom of the column according to the chosen dozen and outside the grid.
Red or Black (Red or Black):
You bet on the exit color. The bet is placed on the corresponding box. This bet does not take zero into account.
Odd or Even (Odd or Even):
The bet must be placed on the corresponding box. This bet does not take zero into account.
Miss / Pass:
You bet either on the low half (1 to 18), or on the high half (19 to 36). The bet is placed on the corresponding box.
All lost bets are removed from the table.
